I was one of the unaccompanied children (Aliyat Hanoar) on the Pan Crescent from Burgas to Cyprus in 1947 and have just written a work of fiction in French, loosely based on my childhood experiences in Bucarest up to my arrival in Tel Aviv in April 1948. The book is due to be published in September and make me a first-time author at the age of 86, after a long career cutting movies: such is Life! As far as I know, no one has described the voyage on the “Pans” through the eyes of a lone and lonely boy. My name is known in Israel. I was the film editor of many of Menahem Golan’s and Moshé Mizrahi’s movies (Kazablan , Entebbe, I love you Rosa,The house on Chelouch street, and after became a Hollywood film editor. I have also had the book translated into Hebrew by Nir Ratzkovsky. . דב הוניג מספר בגוף ראשון את קורותיו מעירו ברומניה, דרך העפלה על הפאן-קרסנט, קפריסין, ארץ ישראל. סיפורו של נער בן 15 המצטרף לבדו לאניית מעפילים בדרך חדשה. הספר כתוב בצרפתית ויצא לאור בפאריז.
