On November 25th 1945, units from the Fourth Palmach Battalion raided the police stations in Giv'at-Olga and Sidna-Ali (near Herzliya) and bombed them. Both stations served the costal police for observation and tracking of Haapala ships that neared the country's shores. The sabotage of facilities that served the British in their battle against Haapala was intended, in the short run, to make it harder to search and spots ships near the shore, and make it clear to the British that any conspiracy against Haapala would result in a harsh Jewish response. The nature of the operation indicated an escalation tendency in the attacks of the Jewish Resistance Movement. This time, the operation was explicitly directed at sabotaging British military facilities.
