The Palmach Brigades
The Palmach reached the height of its operation during the War of Independence. During the months of March – April 1948, the Palmach was organized in three Brigades – the 'Negev' Brigade, 'Harel' Brigade and 'Yiftach' Brigade.

During the months of March – April 1948, the Palmach was organized in three Brigades – the 'Negev' Brigade, 'Harel' Brigade and 'Yiftach' Brigade, which added into nine battalions.
The Palmach Brigades held key positions in the War of Independence operations such as: Operation "Danny," Operation "Yoav," and Operation "Ovda".
