The Palmach Headquarters was responsible for establishing the fighting units and the home front units.
The Palmach General Staff
The Palmach headquarters was in charge of enlisting manpower for the Palmach (Youth from low-income background, Palmach Companies in Italy and the Youth Battalions (Gadna)) The headquarters also dealt with the establishment and organization of the home front units: Army personnel management, Medical services, Communications services…) The headquarters also organized national conventions for maintaining the relationships among Palmach members.
