Security and State

The contribution of the Palmach Units is evident in all aspects of organization and activity in the I.D.F.: in the Infantry, the Navy originated from the 'Palyam' (Palmach Naval Company), most the first Air- Force pilots were Palmach Flight Unit graduates, the 'Nahal' (Pioneer Combatant Youth) originated from the Palmach 'Hachsharot (groups of young men and women who joined the Palmach, some of them, from their youth movements.), in officer training schools and combat methods; in the teachings of combat doctrines, military values and combat ethics, including: Initiative, Responsibility, Persistence, Courag and weld of "esprit de corps".
