Nettuno – Natan A
"Natan A" was purchased shortly after it was constructed. On August 27th 1945, it sailed from Bari port in southern Italy with 73 immigrants on board. The ship safely arrived at Caesarea shore on September 4th, without being spotted by the British.
The "Natan A" Haapala ship was prepared for departure to Israel in Ralta port, Italy by 'Hamossad for Aliyah Bet' and Palyam members, as well as the Jewish soldiers from Transportation unit 468 of the British army. The ship commander was Yosef Landauer. The 'Gidoni' was Yecheskel Stern (Shavit.)

During the voyage, the 'Gidoni' did not manage to communicate with Israel. The immigrants were unloaded and were dispersed among nearby settlements.
