Medal of Valor – Yochai Bin Nun

Yochai Bin Nun, a member of the Naval Sabotage Unit of the Palmach, was the commander of the naval force at the time of the 'Yoav' operation (22.10.48), when the flagship of the Egyptian navy, the 'Emir Farouk' and an Egyptian minesweeper were sunk opposite the Gaza coast.
