The company, also known as the Plugat Hamate (Staff Company), was assembled at the beginning of 1944 and meant to function as the general headquarters for all the special units. Initially it comprised of the Balkan Unit, the Arab Platoon and the Naval Platoon; later the Air Platoon joined in.
Following the dispersing of the Balkan Unit and the recruitment of the German Unit to the Hil (Hativa Yehudit Lochemet – the Jewish Warfare Brigade which was recruited to the British army during the Second World War) towards the end of 1944, the company's nature was altered. The company changed again as the Naval Platoon became an independent company (Palyam).
From now on the company concentrated on collecting intelligence and scouting. Alongside the Arab Platoon, the company set up an ordinary specially trained scouts Platoon. The Arab Platoon continued to operate as usual in its special operations which involved operating also beyond the borders.
Since 1946 the Air Platoon began to participate in the collecting of intelligence; the pilots would go on scouting and air photo operation in destinations which otherwise would not have been reachable. That year the company operated under the direct command of the Forth Battalion's staff.
