The company was assembled from young and adult members of the Kibbutz and settlements of the western Galilee and Jezre’el Valley, alongside high-school graduates and students which were recruited in Haifa. On June 1941, even before the company had completed its formation process, its men were called to participate in patrols and sabotage missions as part of the British invasion to Syria and Lebanon.
After the completion of its first mission, the company gathered for a month of training near Ben Shemen, after which the men were sent to their homes. During the first year of their service they remained in their homes as standby forces and trained on a small scale. In the spring of 1942 the company was recruited and sent to train in Mishmar Hae'mek. Due to the possibility of a German invasion they were first posted in the western Galilee and later in Kibbutzs in the Sharon.
Towards the end of 1942, after the German invasion was no longer a threat, the company was posted permanently in the Kibbutzs of the eastern Jezre’el Valley (Tel Yosef, En Harod and Beit Hashita) and followed, as a company, a routine of agricultural labor and military training.
Since the end of 1943 the company welcomed new recruited men from the settlements and the recruited trainings which replaced the veterans who retired in 1944.
