The Battle of Nabi Samuel
The 'Yevusi' operation included the occupation of the village of Nabi Samuel, a complex and problematic Battalion assignment, involving the overcoming of the surrounding Arab villages before occupying the village itself.
The occupation of the village, located on a mountain 910 meters above the roads leading to Jerusalem, 6 kilometers north-west of the city would ensure and secure a firm northern blockage of the 'Harel' brigade in Shoafat and Qaryat Il Anab.
The 'Yevusi' operation included the occupation of the village, a complex and problematic Battalion assignment, involving overcoming the surrounding Arab villages on the above chosen routes: Radar and Nabi Samuel; and the route leading from the Qastel to Bet-Ichsa and Nabi Samuel.
